See, the problem is, if I view a private message, then my work network thinks that I'm accessing a mail web server, and shuts down my access! That's what happened with erality, and I only got access again, as we're now at rsplot.

I don't want to run the risk of having no board access at work again!

So, in answer to your question... I think we can assume COMPNOR suspect the location of the Sacul, but don't know where!

Ah, and they haven't had time to find the Sacul. We've kept them a little busy.

Quite. They didn't know we were there in the first place, therefore haven't had a chance to really search.

They captured us and realised who we were. So, they accelerated the stations descent, and evacuated, making themselves seem the heroes. They left behind a token force of stormies, who aren't that good in an attempt to stop us escaping, thus wiping us out.

They've also probably called in the big guns, so if we DO escape, it'll be into a trap!

Let's just hope the NightShroud is working!

Ah, we were an unexpected inclusion into their plans. At first, we were unwelcome guests, but then they saw the prime opportunity to hurt us and the New Republic. Now they've accelerated things to make sure we don't defeat them or find a way to get off.

Good twist.

*glomps*

So, the real question is... how do we wrap this up?

Hmm, dramatic escape with us battling the remaining stormies while we try to find each other and get to the Sacul so we can blast off moments before the station hits the planet or burns up in the atmosphere?

Sounds like a plan.

If there's a big nasty ship waiting for us, we can always use the NightShroud.

I was thinking that the ship would want to blow up the station, thus destroying the R and W. However, that would ruin the point of using the station to send the plague all over the planet, so they probably wouldn't.

You're probably right, Face. I wasn't thinking about that yesterday when I brought up the roasting! A big ship could crash the station faster. A Star Destroyer with a grappling tractor could give it a nice shove that would send it reeling like a pebble kicked by a booted foot.

As for another point of resolution, at what point do the groups find each other again?

After Face and Dru trounce the group of Stormies?

Or have Red find them, and bring them back, as Face babbles continuously, and Dru lapses in and out of reality, watched by Az and Theran?

Well, the idea Red had was for the group to just head for Sacul - she intends to find the others if possible. BUt whether they DO go to the Sacul is completely out of her/my control at this point

As for the Piggy, Corran, Tyr, etc group - no clue on their intent!

PS - Um, what about Ziggy, Face?

Good point.

I'm guessing Ziggy's made his way to the Sacul already?

OK... So...

Face/Dru's group take on Stormies, and make their way to the Sacul. Is there an unfriendly welcoming committe?

Red/Drake find Corran and co, and head to the Sacul. Any problems there?

Sacul blasts off, not a moment too soon. Hype out. End of plot.

Yes?

Tyria/Deven/Kai/Piggy can meet up with either group and help them bash more stormies as they head to the Sacul. They're a rescue party, so they wouldn't go the Sacul without finding anyone. Right now, I'm writing Corran's attempt to meet up with that group. He's about 20 mins behind, recovering in the med bay. Not sure which group I'll have him meet up with yet.

Makes sense to me to have TDKP find DFAT, as Red and Drake will be more sneaky. On the other hand, Deven and Tyria are free to cheat and be all Forcey as they scout, so I suppose they could find either!

In my mind, Ziggy has always had his own way out, but there's nothing wrong with him using the Sacul, either!

See, I would have thought that Ziggy's way out would be birthed in the same hangar as the Sacul.

As to getting back to the Sacul: I'd say there should be an unwelcoming committee, probably a dozen strong, and they'd be martyrs behind a sealed door.

Behind a sealed door, but not in the same hangar as the Sacul? I'm guessing that would be REALLY secure.

How about they're in the airlock. They can't get all the way into the hangar, but they've sealed themselves inside the entrance airlock. It can be a BIG airlock, with loads of crates in etc. Think Serenity... only we're the Reavers... Or something like that!

"The" airlock? Which airlock? It seems to me like there'd be dozens on a station this size. The airlock that goes to the Sacul's hanger? Why would they wait for us in what, I'd guess, looks like a dead end?

Now, we could do something with a similar setting... We would first need to bust in to the docking ring, which is under guard. Rather than fight all the way through, maybe we punch a hole and run for it? Then we have a running lightfight to the Sacul's door, which is locked down (along with all of the other doors on the docking ring) as they've rigged the pressure alarm (so nothing will open, ever). So we have a front entry, a running light fight, and then a cover-and-slice all in the same act!

Sounds good to me.

I'm guessing we all meet up first?

And, dare I say it... but how about we Group Plot the finale?

I do so like the group plots.

We could also stagger the entrance. Also, it occurs that they need more than a dozen... just TDKP+DFAT is 8, which would handily take a dozen! Two dozen might be better, and gives us a chance for some desperate ninja+saber-swinging fighting before our friends show up behind them, pin them down and burn them into the dust from whence they came.

Good call in staggering the entrance. But not so much as we win the day. I think we need to be running from this fight, so leave plenty left.

3 squads of Stormies. 27 in total?

Also, how's this weekend for you? I'm off Fri/Sat/Sun, so it would be good to sort something out then!

I ought to be around during the workday Friday, and probably into the evening, through which you will no doubt sleep like a good Briton. I will probably have work to do... but probably not so much that I can't spend some time plotting! My weekends are almost universally booked. Apparently having children makes you instantly busy... my Sunday afternoon might be free, though!

You could always get up at 5 AM Saturday to plot with me Friday night! ;)

Is 27 enough to make 12 Rogue/Wraiths run?

How about group plotting via GoogleDocs, which circumvents time differences?

I suspect Face is asking for my availability about something else in particular. ;) Group plotting via the google doc seems to be the de-facto way of getting things down, so I am all for it, for the finale!

As a note - (since I'm back, not sure if this is still a live conversation) - Piggy has Red's personal data pad, the one she uses to Link to the Sacul.

Dru, it should make us run. That's the point. More realistic remember? Try an M&M plot outnumbered almost 3 to 1 and see how long we last!

Corran, whilst I agree GoogleDocs are awesome (we've been using them for the last few plots) they can't replicate a good old big group plot!

Point. Overwhelming odds have a tendency to kill people! ;)

On that topic, is anybody in this crew up for the chopping block? I think the answer's "no," but if not, that's something we can work in.

Whenever the group plot is, I'll make time to at least take part in it somewhat. I have work from 3:30 to 10pm on Friday, and Saturday I'm a bit busy from 1 to 1:30. Mixed in with a little homework I guess I should get done, my weekend is pretty open.
