2001 was a turbulent era. It was the days of Plot 4 and the Great Board Crash, brought about in part by the enormous surge of activity that had not died down much since the RS Summer Bash of 2000. RS was divided into a number of smaller, interconnected clubs in order to maintain order and keep our message boards from crashing again. Plot 4, which had been going off in a big, new (hit or miss) direction was stopped as its writers experimented with many new plots in their individual RS clubs. Eventually, when the surge of activity lessened, RS returned to a single message board.

Throughout all this, RS insanity reigned, as it also did during the often-turbulent times of the classic 1999 era. Somehow trouble and insanity seem connected. These were the days of food fights, Randy the Rancor, Meat Surprise and legendary topics like "SW Dreams" and "olleH."

2001 New Pilots are the stories and welcomes given to new pilots aka our initial dose of insanity to see whether they hold up or not. You may not recognize these days, but their first greetings into RS are quite entertaining.

Please note that many of these archived topics here are not in there complete form. The unrelated stuff has been cut out.

Enjoy! Reply in this thread.

Man, those dreams in the SW Dreams topic...they really say a lot about us. A lot of scary things.
